Austin Smith is an actor, writer, director, and improvisor, currently living in Brooklyn. He has been performing most of his life, studying acting at the American Conservatory Theatre and various studios, writing and directing plays, performing improv, doing voiceover work, and acting in New York and regional stage productions, including Marin Theater Company's "Wilder, Wilder! Wilder!!" which won the Bay Area Critics' Circle Award for Best Ensemble.
Austin began studying improv in high school at BATS Improv in San Francisco, with Keith Johnstone and others. After moving to NYC in 2007, he eventually found a home at the Magnet, completing the training program with Armando Diaz, Alex Marino, and Rachel Hamilton, as well as studying with Dave Razowsky, Ed Herbstman, Bob Acevedo, and Louis Kornfeld. Currently, he is performing the Wake with Dearly Beloved, and loving it.
