Jane Borden

Bio

Jane Borden is an author, arts-and-entertainment magazine editor, and comedic performer in New York City. Her first book, a memoir in essays, titled I Totally Meant to Do That, will be published by Crown in March 2011. Her humorous writing has also appeared in two collections, The New York Times Magazine and Modern Bride, and onnd Modern Bride, and on Saturday Night Live.

As a staff editor at Time Out New York, her beats have included comedy, dating, and health and wellness. She’s appeared regularly on local morning news programs (NBC, Fox, CW) as a guest expert on things to do in New York City. And she’s been fortunate enough to interview Ricky Gervais, Kathy Griffin, Christopher Guest, JB Smoove, Craig Robinson, Garrison Keillor, and Salman Rushdie, among many others.

As a comedian, she’s appeared on Comedy Central and VH1, and performs regularly in New York at storytelling, stand up, and improv shows, including the Magnet house team Junior Varsity.
