Julie Katz

Bio

Julie Katz holds her BFA in Theater from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She has studied improv at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater with Seth Morris, James Eason, Joe Wengert, Kevin Hines, Shannon O'Neill, Gavin Speiller and Betsy Stover. She has studied musical improv at both the Magnet and The PIT with Tara Copeland, Michael Martin and Larry Rosen. She has also studied improv and solo performance with Becky Drysdale. In short, she likes to study improv. Road Less Traveled, a short film that she wrote and starred in, was screened at the 2010 Coney Island Film Festival. Her one-human show, The Number Jane, was selected to be a part of Breedingground's Spring Fever Festival and she performed it a million times on the Soto Velez Cultural Center on the Lower East Side. Julie can be seen performing musical improv on the Magnet stage with Aquarius, or regular improv with her all female improv/sketch comedy collective that is Candy Slice.
