Matt J. WeirPerformer
Matt J. Weir is a comedian, writer, performer, and filmmaker living in Brooklyn, NY. His formal comedy and improv training began at the very end of 2007 at both the Magnet and UCB theaters. Before that he had made comedic short films and sketches in high school and college, and sat and waited to get picked at numerous Philadelphia based open mics. He has written and performed for "The Super Late Morning Show with The Lucas Bros" (Comedy Central/CC Studios) and worked as a freelancer in TV/Film production for "a long time."
Matt J. is really proud to be one half of the comedy duo "We're Matt Weir" with Matt B. Weir. Together they have written, directed, and produced numerous comedy shows, including their 9 a.m. shows "Morning Party 1 and 2". They've performed all over NYC, in numerous Philadelphia venues, and Chicago's 2012 "Sketchfest". TimeOut Chicago described their work as "delightful and bizarre", "artful-dumbness", and "the funniest seen all weekend."
Currently Matt can be seen improvising on Megawatt's "The Music Industry", and on Friday nights with "The Friday Night Sh*w". He is also the director of Magnet House Sketch Team "Fat Kids".
Matt really likes burritos, guitars, and creativity.
