FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 16, 2006 – Echo is primal movement, Echo
is rock n' roll, Echo is revelatory. Each week, the cast
of Echo presents and then deconstructs slice-of-life scenes,
revealing the truths of everyday interaction through music and highly
stylized action. The result is a fast-paced show that evokes everything
from Buster Keaton to Kabuki Theater to Keith Richards.
Echo is created and directed by Deanna
Fleysher (creator/director of the erotic improv show, Foreplay),
and stars Shawn Amaro, Krista Amigone, John Frusciante, Mark Grenier,
May Lane, T.J. Mannix, Eileen Mullane, Duncan Murdoch, and Chris
Ryan. Echo is the first production to be developed through
The Rep - Magnet Theater's
innovative system for original show development. Production staff
for Echo includes Scott Sherman (Producer) and Shannon Manning (Executive
Producer), with technical direction by Alex Marino.
Echo premieres on Friday, February 24th
at 8 PM and runs each Friday through April 14th. Tickets for Echo
are seven dollars at the door and can be reserved in advance by
calling Magnet Theater at 212-244-8824. Magnet is located at 254
